Will the Real Diamond and Gold Sellers Please Stand Up?

How Global Trade Pro learned to filter through the schemes involved in buying and selling raw diamonds and gold dust from Africa.

This guy was good. He came to us through reputable intermediaries and he had them fooled as well as us. This guy was hell bent on getting an SBLC from our diamond buyers which he eventually got but, fortunately for us, his scam unraveled when he could not get a performance bond as a condition for the buyer to issue the SBLC to his company. Greater lessons were learned by us and this will never happen to Global Trade Pro again.

New York, New York (Advertiser Talk) 07-Dec-2009 — The old phrase that there is “sucker born every minute” is true in the global trading business. Anyone with a web site, e-mail and fax machine has the basic tools to get into the game of international trade. Scam artists can create an online persona that makes them appear as high rollers in order to perpetrate their deceptive game.

James White, a principal with Global Trade Pro tells his story about a sophisticated scam artist that nearly ruined his reputation among his buyers, which are among some of the biggest diamond buyers in New York. White said, “This guy was good. He came to us through reputable intermediaries and he had them fooled as well as us.” The scam perpetrated on Global Trade Pro was elaborate. The perpetrator had approximately 1,000 phony press releases lauding him and his various companies on the internet, several well designed websites and a supposed NGO at the United Nations. White said, “This guy was hell bent on getting an SBLC from our diamond buyers which he eventually got but, fortunately for us, his scam unraveled when he could not get a performance bond as a condition for the buyer to issue the SBLC to his company.”

Luckily for Global Trade Pro not much money was lost but the greater loss was the time, energy and the loss of standing with the buyers. However White said, “Greater lessons were learned by us and this will never happen to Global Trade Pro again.”

If any real sellers of gold dust and raw diamonds are out there and want to do legitimate business, Global Trade Pro says contact them at www.globaltradepro.com or at jameswhite (at) globaltradepro (dot) com.
