Statement of the Education Secretary on the Agusan del Sur hostage taking, April 4, 2011
Statement of Education Secretary Armin Luistro:
On the so-far four-day Agusan del Sur hostage taking situation involving school officials
It is very disturbing that teachers who offer their lives for the community always fall victims to these crimes. We strongly condemn this act and appeal for the immediate and unconditional release of all the hostages. We are closely coordinating with Mayor Aldrin Magdamit of Prosperidad, head of the crisis committee and Chief PNP Gen Raul Bacalzo to ensure that all the victims will be released unharmed.
