PM focused on recession and Restoring Trust

The Prime Minister has spoken of his determination to tackle the economic recession, to reform public services and to take action to restore trust in the political process following today’s Cabinet reshuffle.

Speaking at a press conference in Downing Street, Mr Brown said he had appointed a Cabinet of “character, strength, experience and resilience” that is committed to serving the nation.

The PM also announced the creation of a new Government department which will be known as the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills.
